then she went on to talk to my mum
i continued shopping
when she saw me, she thought i was the daughter-in-law and said
"your daughter-in-law from china ah?"
"no, she's local"
looking at me again, she said
"oh, she looks like she's from china"

sour as a lemon

it's been five months already and i've not shed all my pregnancy weight
my tummy's still protruding
arms still flabby
despite taking care of my bb 24/7
then i bump into a friend who gave birth one month after me
looking as glam and slim as she was last time
makes me feel so dowdy beside her
damn
why can't i look like that????
i mean, i was ONCE very skinny....

my cat loves to scratch.
whatever she gets her claws on, she scratches.
my dining chairs, sofa, doors are all victims.
just the other day, my husband heard the scratching sound again.
"stop it!" he yelled.

"i said stop it!"

irritated, he turned around but can't find her...
"dodger? dodger?"
then he realised that she was locked out of the house when he closed the door a short while ago...
she was scratching our main door to be let in.
